ORP/Redox

ORP (Oxidation Reduction Potential) or Redox is a measure of the effectiveness of the disinfectant or cleaning agent introduced to a water sample.
The ORP reading indicates a solution's ability to either accept or donate electrons. Solutions with a high positive or high negative ORP will be more reactive than solutions with a low positive or negative ORP. Together with measuring disinfectant concentration, monitoring the ORP on a regular basis can aid chemical management, water balance and maintain plant efficiency.
