Salinity

Salinity is a measure of the Dissolved Salt content of a sample expressed as mg/l NaCl (Sodium Chloride).
Salinity is an important parameter for the maintenance of salt water swimming pools, or in applications using salt water generators. Along with TDS and Conducitivity, it is also an important parameter for the monitoring of de-ionised / reverse osmosis water systems to indicate effectiveness of the system.
Excess salt build up can cause loss of filtration and pressure, pipe blockages, ineffectiveness of disinfectants and general poor water quality.
